A little chaos with a lot of love.

I was looking through some old photos tonight (as always) and stumbled across this one. This picture is from this past summer and describes our life perfectly- a little chaos with a lot of love.

Valentine's Day!

Here's a little flash back Friday for Valentine's Day!

Lucas' first Valentine's Day! Lucas and I took a trip to Georgetown and picked up some Georgetown Cupcakes for when Dad came home!

Lucas' second Valentine's Day! We played at home and made heart shaped pancakes for breakfast!

Lucas' third Valentine's Day! This morning we played at home with Lucas' trucks and colored with markers. But this picture is from our Valentine's Day party with our friends!

Celebrating Valentine's Day!

On Sunday evening, we got together with our friends, Jeannie, Dan and Callie, to celebrate Valentine's Day! As always with their family, we had so much fun! Jeannie did a great job decorating and made tons of tasty food. Lucas and Callie "exchanged" Valentine's cards and then spent the evening chasing each other around in circles for hours. They were absolutely hysterical!

Dressed to impress his girl, Callie.
Lucas' valentine for Callie!

How cute are those!?

Tasty daiquiris with a heart shaped pineapple!
Love them :)
Isn't she the sweetest?
These two make my heart so happy.

Splash 'n Tot with our buddies!

Yesterday, Lucas and I went to "Splash 'n Tot" with our best buddies, Jeannie and Callie. "Splash 'n Tot" is an open swim time for toddlers at one of the local recreation center. Jeannie and I were so impressed by Lucas and Callie in the water, they were absolutely fearless! Callie spent most of the afternoon floating on her back with a little help from her mama, while Lucas chased the toy boats all around the pool. It was a blast!

I can't wait to take our little fish back next week!

Nothing beats that smile!!
Love these little fish!

We are so thankful for these two!

One of my favorite pictures ever of these two... it describes their relationship perfectly!
Callie's face says it all, "Oh no, what is Lucas up to this time??"
Never a dull moment with this kiddo!

Williamsburg with Grandma!

Lucas and I recently took a trip down to Williamsburg to spend some time with my mom. Our week was full of lots of laughs and some serious sillyness! It was exactly what we all needed.

We spent our first day in Colonial Williamsburg where we took advantage of the unusual warm weather and brought Lucas on a horse drawn carriage ride. He had such a blast! The following day we visited Virginia's largest indoor bounce house playground... which turned out to be very fun! I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, me or Lucas!

Later that night, Williamsburg was hit hard by a snow storm. My mom and I had intended on taking Lucas swimming at the indoor pool but the single digit weather and snowy roads changed that plan. We decided we weren't going to let a little (or a lot) of snow ruin our plans. So, we left on our swim suits, filled up the jacuzzi, turned on some music and had a mini pool party at our place! Lucas thought it was hysterical.

Here are some pictures from our trip!

Our horse drawn carriage!

Lucas loved the horses!

Sweet boy :)

Lucas was in charge of making our morning coffee with Grandma!

The best barber shop ever! #policecars #lollipops #cartoons #lifeisgood

Our pool party!

Our new favorite place! Bounce house heaven

Complete with a firetruck inflatable slide... Lucas' dream come true.

The slides were so fast this was the best picture I could get! But as you can see, Grandma had a blast as well!

The first pool party was so fun, we decided to have another the following day :)

Play hard, sleep harder.
